Direct Fill Cyclone In Existing 640 Line
In the spring 2012, a North American cheese production plant engaged Millerbernd Systems to improve the performance of their 640 block output. Upon completion of comprehensive onsite process and automation analysis, Millerbernd recommended engineering a new direct fill point for blowing the cheese curds through an airlock to a custom filling cyclone—automatically filling the 640 containers prior to pressing.
Millerbernd Systems provided a turnkey and regulatory compliant solution of engineering, fabrication and start-up of this custom modification to an existing 640 production line. Millerbernd’s deliverables included on-site management of installation and start-up of this new inline direct-fill modification process including automating the airlock, blower, filling cyclone, scales, track with feeder and stop beams.
Millerbernd engineered, fabricated, delivered, and installed a fully automated 640 direct filling cyclone station. The customer has realized both improved output and a significant reduction in labor cost by replacing a manual process with state-of-art automation.
From system concept to installation, Millerbernd Systems provided a modified system solution that increased productivity and profitability.
